About Department

The Department of Physics has been actively functioning since 1971 and is permanently affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. The department offers the UG, PG and PhD programmes and is one of the core subjects in the college leading to B.Sc., M.Sc. and PhD degree. NEP 2020 has been implemented by the university in the year 2023-24 for PG and 2024-25 for UG programmes. The syllabus is framed by S.G.B. Amravati University as per the UGC guidelines for Semester Systems. The department has modern equipments for experiments and a good core library consisting of about 300 titles. The department has WiFi connectivity. The department is presently headed by Dr. Y. S. Tamgadge. This Department is known for inculcating good scientific culture, educational values, maintenance of discipline so as to make them competent for learning and teaching activities.
