Department of Chemistry

Introduction

The Department of Chemistry has completed 45 years of its existence in the academic session 1971-72 .The academic activity of the department started from 1971-72 with only 3 faculty members. It was always the motto of the department to develop it as a centre of teaching and learning of chemistry and strive for all round development of students in the field of chemistry.

In the session 2006-07 Laboratory of this department recognised as research Laboratory for 6 students. At present 3 students were awarded the Ph-D degree and 2 students M.phil. degree. Now 3 students are working for Ph-D. This department started M.Sc (Chemistry) from the session 2010-11 having capacity of 16 students.
