The Sexual Harassment of women at workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act.2013 was passed by the Parliament of India. The Act provides protection against Sexual Harassment of women at workplace and for the prevention and redressal of complaints of sexual harassment and for the matters connected thereof with or incidental there to.
Objectives of Internal Complaint Committee:
1 To built self esteem and dignity among girl students and ladies faculty members.
2 To take consistent action for prevention, prohibition and redressal of complaints received regarding sexual harassment and gender discrimination of women personnel at the workplace
3 Deal with cases of discrimination and sexual harassment against women, in a time bound manner, aiming at ensuring support services to the victimized and termination of the harassment.
4 Recommend appropriate punitive action against the guilty party to the Management.
5 To avoid and prohibit sexual harassment at workplace.
Functions of Internal Complaint Committee:
A Internal Complaints Committee consisting of 8 members has been constituted known as the “Internal Complaints Committee” for redressal of any such issues. The Internal Complaints Committee will be liable for the redressal of complaints made by employees and girl students and ensure time-bound treatment of the complaints as provided in the Act.

2 Complaint boxes have been placed at different places in college for the reporting of grievances
3 The college has tried to create awareness on the issue of sexual harassment by conducting workshops and lectures by lawyers and activists.
4 To create awareness regarding women rights.
